From the International Airport of Cumbica/Guarulhos

There are special bus lines (Airport Bus Service) that can take you to the city (http://www.airportbusservice.com.br/). Tickets cost R$36,50. You can take the bus directly to the hotels at Av. Paulista (for WZ Jardins or La Residence Hotels), or if you wish to go directly to USP or to L'Opera Hotel, take the bus to Praça da Republica and, from there, take the subway. Use the yellow line in the direction of Butantã. For L'Opera Hotel, drop off at Faria Lima station, for USP, drop off at the final stop (Butantã).

A Taxi from the airport to town will cost up to R$150,00, depending on the traffic.

Accessing USP

From both Pinheiros region (L'Opera Hotel) and Av. Paulista region (La Residence or WZ Jardins): Take yellow line of the subway towards Butantã station and drop off at the final stop (Butantã). Just outside the subway entrance, there is a bus stop of line 8012-10, the circular line of USP, it will take you to the university campus.

After crossing the university gates, to reach the Brasiliana Guita e José Mindlin Auditorium (where the opening of the event will happen), drop off at the 3rd stop (see circular bus map below, stop 24 FFLCH). The Brasiliana Library is the modern building at same side of the bus stop. To reach IME, drop off at the 5th stop (see map below, stop 6 FEA). You will have to cross the road to access the Mathematics Institute (see mark 10 of map below).

From the WZ Jardins Hotel, it is also possible to come to USP directly by bus. Take the 702U-10 line (BUTANTÃ-USP) at the bus stop just in front of the hotel, in the direction away from downtown, and drop off at the Brasiliana Library or at IME-USP.

Each bus or train will cost R$ 3,00. An economic option is to buy a card called "bilhete único" that will allow using a train and several buses for R$4,60.

From the Brasiliana to IME you can either take the circular bus 8012-10 or take a quick walk (5 to 10 minutes - 1km).

To return to the subway from IME, take the circular line 8022-10 (see mark 12 of map bellow).

Due to the traffic in São Paulo, we will not have transfers from the event hotels to USP. The quicker way is to take the subway.
